Analysing Job Preferences and Career Options: A Study Based on Student’s Perspective

Realizing the high demand of skilled management and engineering graduates across the world this study has been conducted to explore the student’s desire and their views about their future career options. It has become important to understand the choices of students or recent graduates about their job preferences and location preferences in today’s highly competitive world. Nowadays, Indian students are exploring their options for foreign companies and companies are also trying to recruit a lot of Indian talent on their rolls. During the study, students’ responses about professional, management and engineering jobs available with national/international companies have been collected and analysed to derive certain trends about their job preferences and to understand students’ thought process while selecting their first job.Â
