Abstract

Recruitment is a process of motivating various candidates to apply for a job vacancy in an organisation. It is a negative process in which the candidates (who are not a good fit for a job vacancy) are eliminated from the further hiring process. Recruitment is of two types: Internal Recruitment and External Recruitment. In today’s scenario, besides Promotions and Transfers, the three types of External Recruitment that are widely used are E-Recruitment, Campus Recruitment and Recruitment through Consultants. This study aimed at conducting a relative comparison among/between E-Recruitment, Campus Recruitment and Recruitment through Consultants. The literature reviewed by the researchers did not include any research that focused on a relative comparison between/among E-Recruitment, Campus Recruitment and Recruitment through Consultants. The researchers used the Systematic Random Sampling Method. The researchers collected data through Primary Means by circulating a questionnaire to the respondents. The Researchers concluded that: Campus Recruitment is the most preferred mode of Recruitment, as compared to E-Recruitment and Consultant Recruitment and Consultant Recruitment, E-Recruitment and Campus Recruitment give better results in terms of (Quality of Resumes and Time required to close a vacancy).
