Abstract

The Mutual Fund industry has experienced substantial growth in recent years, assuming an increasingly crucial role in financial markets and the creation of individual wealth. This academic inquiry delves into the factors propelling this expansion. The Mutual Fund industry is advancing effectively with the engagement of private sector involvement through the provision of a diverse range of schemes to meet the wants of various investor groups. The present scholarly article aims to offer a concise overview of the Indian Mutual Funds industry by outlining the progress and advancement of Mutual Funds in India regarding resource mobilization, Assets Under Management (AUM), and the broad spectrum of schemes offered by the sector. This current investigation is built upon ancillary data sources compiled for a timeframe spanning from 2013-2014 to 2023-24. The inquiry utilized statistical methodologies like percentage analysis and Asset Under Management to scrutinize the Mutual Fund industry to draw sound inferences and conclusions.
