Effect of Employee Commitment on Firm Performance:A Research in the Sportswear Industry of Bangladesh

The study investigates the influence of employee commitment on organizational performance in the sportswear industry of Bangladesh, which is a sub-industry of readymade garments industry. The study also tries to identify the major factors and their effects on the employee commitment and firm performance. Descriptive research methodology was adopted in this study. A five-point numerically scaled Likert-Type questionnaire and interview techniques were used to assemble primary data and hypotheses were tested on the basis of collecting data for conducting the study. The study reveals that there exists a significant relationship between employee commitment and firm performance. Furthermore, willingness to support productivity and desire to develop the organizational performance of the employees has the significant impact on firm performance. This study will help the managers to formulate plans in an integrated and comprehensive way for creating commitment among the employees for the improvement of firm performance.Downloads
