Abstract

Maintaining healthy employee relations in an organization, is a prerequisite for organizational success. Strong employee relations are required for high productivity and human satisfaction. The purpose of this article was to find out various employee relation practices implemented by the Information Technology companies and Automobile companies for better organizational performance. This research was carried out using Mix Mode method of research. Primary data was collected from 130 respondents from IT & Automobile companies through structured questionnaire. In-depth interviews with HR Heads were conducted to understand various effective employee relation practices adopted by them. 2 IT companies and 2 Automobile companies from Pune participated in this research. This research explored employee relation practices, their implementation and their effect on organizational performance. It was found that healthy employee relations are considered as the top strategic priorities of organizations to retain employees. This study would help companies to retain their present talented workforce with the help of healthy employee relations for better organizational performance.
